Bubbly

There have been many decisions that we've had to make during the wedding planning process. Location, venue, flowers. The choices NEVER END! Seriously. It blows my mind how many decisions we have to make for one single day. And frankly, some of them are annoying having to figure out!

Things like alcohol, though? That's the fun stuff.

When thinking about my wedding, I always imagined myself with an adorable glass of champagne in my hand. Something I could raise for the toasts, smiling graciously and tilting my head just so. Like something from Mad Men.

But in all honesty? Mr. Candy Apple and I really don't like champagne. Okay, correction: I think champagne is all right, and Mr. Candy Apple hates it. We're just not huge fans; we would much rather drink a good Malbec, or a nice frosty micro-brew.

So, we've decided not to do a champagne toast. We're just not that into it, and it will save money. Win-win, right? People can just toast with what they have in their glass, which means that people who aren't fans of champagne don't have to drink something they don't want, or take a teensy sip, and leave the rest.

Did you have a champagne toast at your wedding, or did you go the 'whatever's in your glass' route? If you did have champagne, did everyone drink it? If you didn't, were people disappointed?

Also to note: I just realized that I've been referring to being tipsy, and alcohol, a lot in these posts! Don't worry, I actually rarely ever drink. No need for a Candy Apple intervention.
