31. buy a nice winter over-coat


.whelp, i can cross another thing off my 101 in 1001 list.

i know you think i'm silly for completing all the ridiculously expensive ones first, but don't worry - i think i'm a little silly too.

the thing is, these are all things that i have really been needing to buy for quite some time (mainly to survive the frigid, arctic boston winters, and have been too poor/lazy to actually make the purchases. so thank goodness for my 101 in 1001 list, because it means i am doing my part to help out the good ol' us economy. recession? what recession? obviously i'm making the big bucks!

but seriously, this coat is awesome, and due to all of the fabulous retail sales as of late, it was quite the bargain! also, as with most j.crew outer-wear and blazers, it has cute little touches, like the pretty ribbon, and the yellow inside pocket. love.

mostly, i just like it because it keeps me warm. it's much longer than my peacoat, which means i am warmer walking to the t every morning. and by warmer, i mean that my body heat is only slightly above the level where the blood freezes in the veins. but only slightly.
