.si.

.finally ready to post.

j and i wanted to do a hike while we were in seattle, regardless of the crappy march drear. so, naturally, we went to m, who is an avid outdoorswoman and knows of many hikes around the seattle area.

she suggested that we do mt. si, so the morning after we got in, we woke up semi-early and drove out to the mountain. and let me tell you, it was a mountain. a steep mountain. the trail literally began at the bottom of the mountain, and ended at the top, so we hiked an entire mountain.

also, half-way up we hit snow, and were essentially hiking in snow for the last few miles. this made it difficult going up, but coming down was awesome, as we just slid/skiied for most of it.

just a few pictures, as i was nervous about taking my camera out on the trail - the snow was pretty slick, and i didn't want to wipe out. it was also snowing while we were at the top, so we didn't linger too long.

ah, i love the pacific northwest.

moss and ferns are my favorite things ever.

the adorable dog that accompanied us.

all in all, a very fun hike. one great thing about seattle is all of the fabulous hikes within an hour drive of the city. fantastic.

.cheers.
