.ebey's landing.

.and, another hike.

well, not exactly a hike, more like a promenade. a saunter, if you will.

while in seattle, we took a quick jaunt up to our cabin on whidbey island and, while there, dad, c, j, and i decided to go poke around ebey's landing, which is a national historic preserve.

sister!

dad decided it would be fun to run. little did he know that we youngsters are spry and, well, young, and his old body tires easily.

love this picture of c

the weather wasn't great, but it was a beautiful walk nonetheless - what can i say, i love the pacific northwest.

we saw some cross-country runners chugging past us - i imagine it's a great route to run along when you're training. thankfully, i was not training.

it starts out as a walk along the ridge, and, if you go far enough, you eventually loop back around down on the beach. we decided to just come back on the high road the way we had come (and, let's be honest - there was a berry pie waiting for us in the car).

the beach. a long, painful tumble below

beautiful walk. even better in the summer. i love whidbey.

i miss the west coast.

.cheers.
