i'm looking at pictures from the holiday in seattle, and found these pictures of this little guy. the lighting was really poor, so you can't see his beautiful green and red feathers, but i just love these pictures.


just hanging out. drinking from the hummingbird feeder. no big deal.


i spent a lot of this day while i was home inside (when i wasn't out frolicking in the snow, that is), taking pictures of the birds that came to feast at our feeder. i'll post some more later, but i think this guy was my favorite (it may be a female, i'm not sure. but i like calling him a little guy).
