If you are on the Kate Spade mailing list like I am (is this something I should be admitting?), you will have recently received a very exciting email from the fine people in the (I'm sure very lovely and colorful) offices at Kate Spade. Not lucky enough to be on the list? Well, let me fill you in - they recently launched their new bridal boutique! They're calling it "Wedding Belles," which I love (of course). It just sounds so whimsical! And musical. And Southern.
Anyway, it got me thinking about how all of my favorite brands/ designers/ shops have now opened up wedding lines (although let's be honest, even though they're my "favorites," that doesn't mean I can afford them. A girl can dream...). Seriously, you guys - everyone has caught the wedding fever! I'm wondering if it has to do with the absolute explosion recently of bridal blogs and sites, the increasing plethora of inspiration that is popping up all over the place? More exposure for weddings? I'm really not sure, but it just seems to me like people are paying so much more attention to the nitty gritty aspects of weddings now than ever before. But, then again, that might just be because I'm planning my wedding now. I'm a bit self-absorbed, clearly, so who knows.
Anyway, the email got me thinking about all of these awesome stores, and their totally rockin' new wedding lines, so I thought I would give a quick run-down, and see what you guys think.
1. Kate Spade's Wedding Belles
The newbie. I have always had a crush on Kate Spade and, even though I can't afford her bold, preppy pieces, I still lust after each and every thing listed on her site. So I was super excited, and surprised, to see this wedding line come out. I love the dresses! They're all short and fun and playful; definitely not meant for the more traditional bride. I could, though, totally see myself wearing some of these to a rehearsal dinner, or as a "getaway" reception dress. And their accessories are to-die-for. Particularly their sparkly shoes. With bows. Sigh. They also have lots of cutesy little gifts, like necklaces that say "Mrs," funky rings, etc. Hellooo, BM gifts! And I heart balloons of all sizes and colors.

2. BHLDN
Anthropologie's long-awaited wedding line. I know that this has been discussed many times before (Sloth even got her wedding dress from BHLDN! Lucky duck), but I felt like I needed to give it a shout-out, because I want to be this store. Or one of the models in this store. Or a hanger in this store. Whatever. As long as I can wear the clothes. It seriously makes me to want to buy 30 more wedding dresses every time I visit their site. So dreamy. So flowy. So chic and hip. I love it. Vintage meets modern. I am just in love with all of the beautiful details - the ribbons, the ruffles, the eyelet. So gorgeous. I guarantee that you could wear a lot of these dresses again after your wedding; quite a few of them would make lovely summer dresses.

3. J. Crew
I realize this isn't exactly a recent opening, but I still love the ever-classic J. Crew. They are always coming out with fresh new gowns, and, of course, I love their bridesmaid dresses as well (duh). They even have an adorable line for the kiddos in your wedding party - sweet little dresses for the girls, and fun mini jackets for the boys. The classics cuts with funky twists and details win me over every time.
Hive, tell me: what do you make of this influx of wedding lines from our fave stores? Are you liking that so many more places are starting to carry wedding lines (more options! yeah!), or is it starting to get a bit tired and old? I think on the one hand, I love all the options, but, then again, all of the options can get overwhelming, too.
