.today, i orchestrated an excursion to plymouth.
or plimouth, as they like to call it.
i love excursions, by the way.
anyway, plymouth is beautiful. i expected a corny little bum of a place, and although the town was slightly kitschy (everything was 'pilgrim this,' 'pilgrim ale,' etc), it was a really quaint little town with lots of fun shops.
and the surrounding harbor and islands and forests were beautiful. it was a great day; it was warm, but not excruciatingly hot like it has been, and the sun kept peeping out and giving us bright blue smiles. lovely.
we took a harbor tour, which was fun because we could see some of the surrounding islands. very pretty. plymouth rock was bigger than i imagined, but the portico around it was under construction, so we couldn't get very close. oh well. still cool.

i love this picture! i love the colors. it looks like watercolor paints.we also happened across some crazy festival in the middle of the main street, and there was irish dancing going on, so we stopped to watch. so awesome. it made me think of dublin. except these people all had crazy colors on. their hair is out of control too. so crazy! i love curls.
so, all in all a very satisfying day.
.cheers.
