.the.big.easy.

.some pictures from my short-but-sweet visit to nola.

pretty fountain! the water looks kind of gross (although it's a cool green), but i loved the little birdies taking their baths

there were beads hanging all over the place!

the view from my hotel room - i loved watching the barges!

jackson square at night. i love this picture - it makes me think of something from cinderella, with the horse-drawn carriages!

and, during the day

paddle boat!!

i loved this pub sign

beautiful wrought-iron balconies. they were all over the french quarter. very classy

more balconies

and, of course, no trip to nola would be complete without a trip to cafe du monde. mmm so so good. there was powdered sugar all over the floor, and musicians playing outside. a really fun, casual atmosphere

this one's for you, mom!

mmmm, i want more beignets...soooo good!

you didn't think i'd go an entire trip without taking a macro shot, did you?
one of the beautiful flowers in jackson square

unfortunately, windows vista is not compatible with my eos 20d (damn you, vista!), so more adirondacks pictures will just have to wait... the suspense is killing you, i'm sure!

.cheers.
